Winnipeg Mission

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. -- Luke 4:18 KJV

About Us

During the Fall of 2014, members of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Conference assembled. They discussed setting up a mission in Winnipeg and there was much support for this effort. There were many letters coming into our local head office and from people doing missions work in Winnipeg.

Two years later, in 2016, a couple from Rosenort offered to give their time to pursue this. Starting out, they would drive into Winnipeg two times a week to talk and share the Gospel message with those in malls, restaurants, and the Golden Door Home. Later in that year, an apartment was rented so that the couple could focus more of their time towards reaching out as Christ served. This couple is now pursuing service full time under the name Winnipeg Missions.

Great Physician

The great Physician now is near, the sympathizing Jesus; He speaks the drooping heart to cheer, O hear the voice of Jesus. -- Christian Hymnal #535
